IMPLEMENTASI ISLAMIC TOURISME DALAM MENINGKATKAN PENGHASILAN IBU-IBU RUMAH TANGGA MISKIN DI KOTA PADANG

Abstract

This paper discusses the concept of Islamic tourism. This research is focused to find out the implementation
and development of Islamic tourism on the Padang coast and then to find out its impact in increasing the
income of housewives on Padang Beach. This study uses a qualitative approach in obtaining and processing
desired data. Then the data obtained is described to be able to describe the development of Islamic tourism on
the coast of Padang. Data collection for research purposes obtained through interviews, observations, and
documentation. The results of this study are tourist attractions in Padang beach are still heading to the
characteristics of halal tourism, because there are still several places that violate the characteristics of halal
tourism. Then business people who are around the coast of Padang strongly support the existence of halal
tourism discourse in the city of Padang. The income of housewives who have businesses around the coast of
Padang has increased.
