Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning motivation, learning environment as well as the motivation and the learning environment of learners simultaneously on the learning outcomes of PAI in SMK Negeri Padang. This type of research is field research using quantitative methods. The population in this study were all students of SMK Negeri 1 Kota Padang and SMK Negeri 5 Kota Padang, majoring in engineering, as many as 1274 students, with simple random sampling technique, a sample of 94 students was obtained. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that (1) motivation gave a positive and significant effect on the learning outcomes of PAI study areas of students in State Vocational Schools in Padang, namely 0.201 or 20.1%, (2) the learning environment of students gave a positive and significant effect on the learning outcomes of the field PAI study of students in Padang City Vocational School is 0.209 or 20.9%, (3) the motivation and learning environment of students together (simultaneously) has a positive and significant effect on the learning outcomes of PAI in SMK Negeri Padangyaitu 0.337 or equal to 33.7%. Based on the results of the research that has been stated, it can be suggested to Educators in Padang City Vocational Schools to increase students' learning motivation through learning activities and constructive activities and conducive learning environment of students according to the needs of students.
