Journal History
Al-Taujih Journal: Bingkai Bimbingan dan Konseling Islami is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the State Islamic University (UIN) Imam Bonjol Padang. This journal focuses on Islamic-based guidance and counseling studies and has undergone several developments since its initial publication.
2015
The first printed issue of Al-Taujih Journal was officially published. The print ISSN was issued by LIPI (Indonesian Institute of Sciences) in the same year.
2017
The journal was made available online for the first time. However, the editorial process—including submission and peer review—was still conducted manually (offline). No electronic ISSN (e-ISSN) was available at this point.
2018
The journal management system was upgraded from OJS 2.4 to OJS 3, marking a significant digital transition in publication.
2019
Due to usability considerations, the editorial board decided to revert to OJS version 2.4.8, which was deemed more practical for electronic journal management. In December 2019 (Vol. 5 No. 2), the journal template was updated to include header and footer sections as official journal identifiers. Later in 2019, the journal submitted an application for an electronic ISSN to LIPI.
2020
In January 2020, the journal was officially granted an e-ISSN, which was first used in Volume 6 No. 1 (January–June 2020). The editorial process was fully moved online, including article submission, peer-review, and publication. During this year, the journal was also indexed in several major academic databases such as Google Scholar, Garuda, Moraref, and others. On December 23, 2020, Al-Taujih Journal received national accreditation from the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia with Decree No. 200/M/KPT/2020.
2021
On September 27, 2021, the head and secretary of the Islamic Guidance and Counseling Education Study Program at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN Imam Bonjol Padang were inaugurated. Management of the journal was officially transferred from the Islamic Education Management Program to the new study program. The publication of Volume 7 No. 2 in 2021 marked the first issue under the new editorial board.
Present
