DISTRIBUSI FITUR DAN STRUKTUR INTELEKTUAL PUBLIKASI ILMIAH SUBJEK ILMU PERPUSTAKAAN DAN INFORMASI

Abstract


Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  mengetahui  profil  distribusi  publikasi  ilmiah  dan mengeksplorasi struktur intelektual terhadap publikasi subjek ilmu perpustakaan dan informasi (IPI) yang terindeks oleh pangkalan data Scopus dari tahun 2016-2018. Pendekatan bibliometrika dengan menggunakan  analisis  kuantitatif  diadopsi  untuk  menggambarkan  distribusi  publikasi  dan  struktur intelektual  pada  dokumen  yang  terkait  subjek  IPI,  kemudian  data  diolah  dengan  aplikasi  excel  dan VosViewer.  Berdasarkan  hasil  analisis  terhadap  15,962  dokumen  dalam  226  judul  sumber  yang terdapat dalam Scopus, menunjukkan bahwa adanya konsistensi pertumbuhan jumlah dokumen dari tahun  2016  hingga  2018  pada  subjek  IPI.  Bahasa  Inggris  masih  menjadi  bahasa  publikasi  yang dominan  digunakan  para  peneliti.  Selain  itu,  bahasa  spanyol  menunjukkan  kontribusi  signifikan terhadap publikasi dibandingkan bahasa lainnya. Pola kolaborasi antara penulis masih merujuk pada institusi dari Amerika  Serikat, sekaligus mengindikasikan  bidang perpustakaan lebih berkembang di negara  tersebut.  Ilmu  komputer  menjadi  disiplin  ilmu  yang  banyak  bersinggungan  dengan  disiplin perpustakaan  berdasarkan  analisis  pengkategorian  area  subjek.  Jenis  dokumen  dalam  bentuk  artikel jurnal  masih  menjadi  sarana  komunikasi  ilmiah  formal  yang  paling  banyak  digunakan  oleh  para peneliti.  Struktur  intelektual  publikasi  subjek  IPI  menunjukkan  pola  pemetaan  yang  saling menguatkan  untuk  memahami  dinamika  perkembangan  ilmu.  Hasil  peta  dari  analisis  co-citation menguatkan  peta  dari  co-word  yang  menghasilkan  enam  kluster  topik  yaitu,  media  sosial, bibliometrika, literasi informasi, perpustakaan perguruan tinggi, manajemen pengetahuan, dan akses terbuka.
