Publication Ethics
Math Educa Journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and adheres to the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) core practices. The journal expects all parties involved—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—to follow these ethical guidelines throughout all stages of the publication process.
1. Allegations of Misconduct
Math Educa Journal takes all allegations of misconduct seriously, whether raised pre-publication or post-publication. The journal has a clear process for investigating and responding to allegations, including those from whistleblowers. If misconduct such as plagiarism, data falsification, or inappropriate authorship is discovered, the journal will take appropriate action, which may include retractions, corrections, or sanctions against authors.
- Complaints should be directed to the editorial office, and they will be handled confidentially.
- Policies are in place to manage concurrent submissions and AI-generated content.
2. Authorship and Contributorship
To ensure transparency, Math Educa Journal requires all submissions to clearly define the contributions of each author. Only those who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as authors, and all contributors should be appropriately acknowledged.
- Disputes regarding authorship will be resolved according to COPE guidelines.
- Authors should ensure that all contributors are credited in line with their roles.
3. Complaints and Appeals
The journal has a formal process for handling complaints regarding the editorial process, the conduct of editorial board members, or the publisher. All complaints are reviewed promptly, and a fair resolution will be pursued. Appeals related to editorial decisions will be considered, but final decisions rest with the editor-in-chief.
4. Conflicts of Interest
Clear policies on conflicts of interest (COI) are maintained for authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher. Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their work. Editors and reviewers must also declare any conflicts before engaging with a manuscript. If COI is identified after publication, appropriate steps will be taken, such as issuing corrections or retractions.
- All parties involved must ensure that any potential conflict of interest is disclosed in a timely manner.
5. Data and Reproducibility
Authors are required to make their data available upon request and adhere to reporting guidelines suitable for their discipline. The journal encourages the registration of studies and the sharing of data to enhance reproducibility and transparency.
- Data must be stored securely, and authors should be able to provide raw data for editorial or peer review when necessary.
6. Ethical Oversight
The journal upholds strict policies regarding the ethical conduct of research, especially in studies involving human or animal subjects. Authors must provide evidence of ethical approval, and research involving vulnerable populations must follow ethical standards. The handling of confidential data, consent to publication, and adherence to ethical business and marketing practices are also considered under ethical oversight.

7. Intellectual Property
Math Educa Journal respects intellectual property rights and has clear policies regarding copyright, licensing, and publishing fees. Authors must ensure that their work is original and properly cites prior research. The journal defines plagiarism, redundant publication, and text recycling and takes strong action against violations.

8. Journal Management
The journal operates with a transparent and efficient management infrastructure, supported by independent editorial policies. Training is provided to the editorial board and staff to ensure best practices in journal management and editorial independence.

9. Peer Review Processes
Math Educa Journal employs anonymous peer review process that is conducted transparently and fairly. The journal provides training to editors and reviewers to ensure that reviews are conducted ethically, focusing on the quality and relevance of the manuscript. Conflicts of interest in peer review are managed diligently, and the journal handles disputes and appeals fairly.
- Reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality and provide objective feedback based on the manuscript's content.
10. Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections
Post-publication dialogue is encouraged through letters to the editor or moderated platforms such as PubPeer. The journal has mechanisms to correct, revise, or retract articles after publication when necessary. Corrections or expressions of concern are issued in accordance with COPE guidelines to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record.
