THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ENGLISH ONLINE LEARNING A CASE STUDY AT SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL 1 AKABILURU LIMA PULUH KOTA DISTRICT

Abstract


The purpose of this study is to measure the extent to which online learning is being implemented at SMAN 1 Akabiluru by dividing the purposes into 1)To find the online learning policy at SMAN 1 Akabiluru 2)Finding how the implementation of online learning especially in English subject in terms of human resources, teaching materials, and infrastructure, 3)To find the obstacles faced in implementing online learning especially in English subject in SMAN 1 Akabiluru. 4)And finding how to overcome obstacles in implementing online learning in SMAN 1 Akabiluru. This research was designed by using qualitative descriptive method which will describe the implementation of online learning especially in English subject at SMAN 1 Akabiluru. Study case approach used in this research to desrcibe online learning phenomenon. By using interview with Google Form as the media, also observation and questionnaire form to collected data. The indicators of the instrument came from Elfachmi’ theory about education components. The result of this research concluded that 1)Online learning policy come from the gorvernment, school has provided Wifi and internet quota to the students and operator to help teachers. 2)Teacher used Zoom,WA and YouTube to provide the students with video and audio material. 3)Difficulties faced by both side, using the application and other error, but students face internet signal and internet quota. 4)Operator provided
