Saqifah: Jurnal Hukum Ekonomi Syariah is published twice a year (June and December) under the auspices of the Sharia Economic Law Study Program, Faculty of Sharia, UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. Since its first print edition in 2016, the journal migrated to an electronic system in 2021 and has been available online (open access) since Vol. 6 No. 2 (2021), with an online ISSN of 3048-2844. To maintain scientific quality, submitted manuscripts must comply with writing guidelines, including a length of 6,000–9,000 words and a standard structure that includes a title, abstract, methods, results & discussion, conclusion, and references, and undergo a peer-review (blind review) process. Publication trends show that each edition contains a different number of articles; for example, Vol. 10 No. 1 (2025) features two articles. The topics in Saqifah also show variety and dynamics in line with developments in Islamic economic law; in recent editions, empirical and bibliometric studies have appeared, such as studies on Islamic factoring, Islamic economic disputes, the right of preemption in land sales, and analysis of murabahah contracts and consumer rights in Islamic e-commerce.
