Manajemen Dakwah dalam Perspektif Fethullah Gülen : Pendidikan dan Organisasi Sosial sebagai Gerakan Sosial Dakwah

Abstract

This article examines the concept of da‘wah management in the perspective of Fethullah Gülen, with a particular focus on education and social organizations as forms of social da‘wah movements. The study is motivated by contemporary da‘wah challenges in the context of globalization, modernity, and multicultural societies, which demand more institutional and managerial approaches rather than purely rhetorical ones. This research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, using primary data from Gülen’s works and secondary data from relevant books and scholarly journals. Data were analyzed through content analysis and thematic interpretation focusing on da‘wah management, education, and social organization. The findings indicate that Gülen conceptualizes da‘wah as humanitarian service (hizmet) based on moral exemplarity, long-term orientation, and non-confrontational strategies. Education functions as a strategic medium for internalizing Islamic values, while social organizations strengthen da‘wah networks through collective, decentralized, and sustainable management practices. The study concludes that the Gülen movement represents a model of social da‘wah movement that integrates Islamic spiritual values with modern management principles, offering both theoretical and practical contributions to the development of contemporary da‘wah management.
