Abstract

The implementation of Islamic boarding school-based public schools is an educational approach that integrates Islamic religious education with formal education in an environment that resembles a boarding school. This program aims to create students who have a strong understanding of religion while undergoing a balanced formal education. At SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Padang, an Islamic boarding school-based education style has been implemented, which includes several programs unique to modern Islamic boarding schools. Among them are Tahfizh Qur'an, the habit of praying in congregation, as well as instilling Islamic values through ISMUBA's local content. The Islamic boarding school-based school program aims to create individuals who have a solid understanding of religion, good morals, and strong academic abilities. This is a popular educational approach in many countries with significant Muslim populations.
