Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan makna, bentuk-bentuk dan karakteristik sifat kikir, akibat dan ancaman Allah terhadap sifat kikir serta larangan, solusi dan manfaat menghindari sifat kikir. Penelitian ini penelitian library research dengan metode tafsir mauḍū’i. Hasil penelitian, pertama, kikir berarti menahan, enggan dan tidak mau mengeluarkan sebagian karunia Allah yang ada padanya, kikir dapat berupa ilmu, tenaga, jabatan atau kekuasaan, kasih sayang dan kebaikan lainnya yang seharusnya diberikan. Di antara karakteristiknya; kikir dan menyuruh orang lain kikir, merasa dirinya cukup, menahan dan takut membelanjakan harta, rasa cinta teramat dalam terhadap harta, riya’, sombong. Kedua, akibat dan ancaman Allah terhadap pelaku kikir yakni hartanya tidak bermanfaat baginya, menghapus pahala amalnya, diberikan jalan yang sukar, harta yang dibakhilkan akan dikalungkan ke lehernya di hari kiamat dan siksa yang menghinakan. Ketiga, kikir sangat dilarang dan termasuk perbuatan haram. Solusi menghindari sifat kikir dengan berlaku seimbang yakni membelanjakan harta di jalan tengah tidak terlalu berlebihan dan tidak pula terlalu kikir. Siapa yang terpelihara dari sifat kikir itulah orang yang beruntung.

Abstract

This study aims to find the meaning, forms and characteristics of miserliness, the consequences and threats of Allah to miserliness and to find prohibitions, solutions and benefits of a voiding miserliness. This research is library research with the mauḍūʻi interpretation method. The result of the study, first, being stingy means holding back, reluctance and unwilling to release some of God’s gifts that are in him, miserly can be in the form of knowledge, energy, position or power, affection and other goodness that should be given. Among its characteristics; being stingy and telling other to be stingy, feeling self sufficient, holding back and bein a fraid to spend wealth, feeling very deep in love for wealth, riya’, arrogant. Second, the consequences and threats of Allah to the miser is that his wealth does not benefit him, erases the reward of his deeds, is given a difficult way, the treasure that is allowed will be hung arround his neck on the day of resurrection and a humilia ting torment. Third, being stingy is strictly prohibited and includes unlawful acts. The solution to a voiding miserliness is to be balanced, namely to spend wealth in the middle way, not too much and not too stingy. Whoever is protected from miserliness is the lucky one.
