Author Guidelines

Manuscript General Requirement 

  1. Written in English or Bahasa; 
  2. The length of the manuscript is 6.000-9000 worlds (not included references);
  3. Prepared your manuscript using JOSTECH Template;
  4. The manuscript has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor);
  5. The manuscript file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format (don't use another format);

 

Structure of the Manuscript

  1. TITLE. The title of the paper max 15 words, without Acronym or abbreviation;
  2. AUTHOR INFORMATION. Author information is Author(s) Name, Author(s) Affiliation, Author(s) email;
  3. ABSTRACT. The length of Abstract is 150-200; No citation; State in the abstract a primary objective, research design, methodology, main outcomes, and results, and the conclusions;
  4. SECTION STRUCTURE. Authors are suggested to present their manuscript in the section structure: Introduction - Method - Results and Discussion – Conclusion;
  5. REFERENCES. Expect a minimum of 15 references primarily with a minimum of 80% to journal papers. Use Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition for your references;

 

Manuscript Preparation Checklist 

  1. As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines;
  2. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor);
  3. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format;
  4. Ensuring the paper conform to the standard of JOSTECH Template, please download the paper template in *.DOC;
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal;
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed;
  7. The length of the submitted paper is 6.000-9.000 words, not included references;
It used a tool such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote for reference management and formatting, and have chosen the Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition;

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Copyright Transfer Agreement

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the works authorship and initial publication in this journal.

The Authors submitting a manuscript do so on the understanding that if accepted for publication, the copyright of the article shall be assigned to JOSTECH and Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi Imam Bonjol Padang as the publisher of the journal.

Copyright encompasses exclusive rights to reproduce and deliver the article in all form and media, including reprints, photographs, microfilms, and any other similar reproductions, as well as translations.
