Milennial Transformation Through Sunnah Da'wah (Al-Qur'an and Hadith): Its Impact on the Spirit of Hijrah and Spiritual Growth

Abstract


With concerns about the future of Indonesia's youth due to media influence, there is a trend among millennials to change direction. This millennial generation is finding their identity while many others feel disoriented. This study aims to explore the impact of sunnah preachers who narrate the Quran and Hadith in their talks on the motivation for hijrah among young Muslims in West Sumatra. This research uses mixed method researchs. Data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation as well as questionnaire distribution to respondents, then analyzed statistically and the results were presented in a descriptive format. After that, the analysis requirement test and hypothesis testing were carried out using the correlational analysis method. Furthermore, the results of the analysis are discussed in detail to give meaning to the analysis conducted. The results showed that the millennial generation who made hijrah is a reflection of a generation that istiqomah in faith, diligent in worship, and has good morals. The millennial generation who hijrah has proven that Islamic da'wah has succeeded in bringing them to the “straight path” in West Sumatra.
