Author Guidelines

  1. Articles written for Al-Qalb: Jurnal Psikologi Islam  include the results of studies and research results in the field of Islamic psychology and psychology. Manuscript typed in Microsoft Word, Times New Roman font, size 12 pts, with 1 line spacing, printed on A4 size paper with a minimum length of 15 pages and a maximum of 25 pages. Manuscripts are submitted in soft copy. Manuscripts are submitted through the Al-Qalb: Jurnal Psikologi Islam submission link: https://ejournal.uinib.ac.id/jurnal/index.php/alqalb
  2. Articles written in Indonesian or English. The systematics of the research articles are: title, author's name, abstract accompanied by keywords, introduction, methods, results and discussion, conclusions and suggestions, and references.
  3. The title of the article in Indonesian cannot be more than 14 words, while the title in English cannot be more than 12 words. The title is printed in capital letters at the beginning of the word, in Times New Roman, and the font size is 16 pts.
  4. The author’s name of the article is listed without an academic degree, accompanied by the institution of origin, and placed next to the Abstract. In the case of a manuscript written by a team, the editor only deals with the main author or the author whose name is listed first. The lead author must include correspondence or e-mail address (e-mail).
  5. Abstract and keywords are written in two languages (Indonesian and English). The length of each abstract is 100-250 words, while the number of keywords is 3-5 words. Abstract contains at least the title, objectives, methods, research subjects, research results, and research conclusions.
  6. The introduction contains the background, the research context, the urgency of the research, literature review, and the research objectives. All parts of the introduction are presented in an integrated manner in the form of paragraphs, with a length of 15-20% of the total length of the article. 
  7. The method contains explanations in the form of paragraphs about the research design, data sources, data collection techniques, and data analysis that the researcher actually carried out, with a length of 10-15% of the total length of the article. 
  8. The result contains an explanation of the results related to the research question. Every research result should be discussed. The discussion contains the meaning of the results and comparisons with the theory and / or the results of similar research.
  9. The conclusion contains research findings in the form of answers to research questions or in the form of the digest of the results of the discussion. Conclusions are presented in narrative form.
  10. The references only contains the sources referred to, and all sources referred to must be listed in the list of references. At least 80% of the referral sources are published in the last 10 years. The references used are primary sources of the research articles or research reports (including theses and dissertations).
  11. Referral and citation use the reference technique with brackets (last name, year). Inclusion of the source in direct quotations should be accompanied by a description of the page number from which the quotation originates. Example: (Davis, 2010).
  12. The references are compiled according to the APA provisions by using Mendeley

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
