MEMBANGUN GROWTH MINDSET MELALUI NILAI-NILAI TASAWUF: INTEGRASI SPIRITUALITAS DALAM PENDIDIKAN HOLISTIK

Abstract

This study examines the relevance of Sufi values in shaping a growth mindset among students in modern educational settings. The background of this research stems from the increasing challenges faced by students, such as academic pressure, low resilience, and limited emotional regulation, which necessitate an approach that emphasises not only cognitive aspects but also spiritual and psychological strengthening. Sufi values such as mujahadah, sabr, istiqamah, and riyadhah al-nafs are in line with the principles of a growth mindset, which emphasises effort, perseverance, and positive interpretation of failure. This study uses a descriptive-analytical qualitative method through a literature review of classical Sufi literature, contemporary Sufi works, and educational psychology research related to the growth mindset. The data were analysed by grouping the main themes and comparing the conceptual relationship between Sufi values and growth mindset theory. The results show that Sufi values provide an emotional and spiritual foundation that can strengthen students' resilience, motivation, and ability to face learning challenges. Practices such as muhasabah, murāqabah, and dzikir contribute to emotional stability, self-awareness, and intrinsic motivation. This study concludes that the integration of Sufi values in education has the potential to enrich the holistic development of students, cognitively, emotionally, and spiritually.
