Abstract

This research aims to describe the important role of Islamic renewal and religious moderation in building balance, tolerance and equality in modern society through a descriptive qualitative approach. In this effort, the research analyzes various relevant literature to gain a deeper understanding of how Islamic renewal can reinterpret religious values so that they are more in line with the dynamics of today's times. Religious moderation is seen as a foundation that supports interfaith dialog and reduces the potential for conflict related to religious differences. The results show that the approaches of Islamic renewal and religious moderation are effective in increasing the level of tolerance and inclusiveness in modern diverse societies. The focus on achieving balance between different faiths is also crucial in creating a favorable social environment for interfaith cooperation. There are significant implications for the development of public policies and social practices that promote religious diversity and for building a more harmonious and just society for all its members. As such, this research not only contributes academic insights, but also offers a solid basis for concrete efforts to strengthen interfaith harmony and cooperation in the contemporary context. The implications of the results emphasize the importance of adopting the values of Islamic renewal and religious moderation in public policy and social practice.
