Jurnal AL-AHKAM (Print ISSN: 2086-8243 and Electronic ISSN: 2722-6549) is a scholarly publication affiliated with the Program Studi Magister Hukum Keluarga Pascasarjana Universitas Islam Negeri Imam Bonjol Padang. Since its inception in 2012, the journal has been issuing two editions annually in June and December. Its thematic focus revolves around Islamic law, encompassing all associated dimensions. The journal welcomes diverse forms of scholarly contributions within the domain of Islamic law, including normative-doctrinal and empirical research articles. The scope of inquiry spans Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh), Islamic Legal Theory (Usul al-Fiqh), Legal aspects within the Modern Muslim World (Legislation/Codification, Statutes, Regulations, Legal Profession, and Institutions), as well as Comparative Law, Law & Religion, and Law & Society, particularly those intertwined with Islamic jurisprudence. Since the 2025 edition, Jurnal AL-AHKAM has undergone several revisions, including the template, which was revised from the December 2023 to December 2024 editions by way of updated references and citations. Subsequently, the number of publications was revised to 6  articles per issue.
