Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Bahasa Indonesia Berbasis Model ICARE terhadap Berpikir Kreatif Peserta Didik Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low creative thinking ability of students in learning Indonesian. This is caused by the teacher-centered learning method, where educators tend to read the material without actively involving students. In addition, the less varied learning media and the limited use of printed textbooks—one book for two students and not allowed to be taken home—reduce students' attention and concentration. These conditions contribute to the decline in creative thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to develop Indonesian language teaching materials based on the ICARE model (Introduction, Connection, Application, Reflection, Extension) to improve students' creative thinking skills based on validity and practicality criteria. This development research produces teaching material products that meet two main criteria. First, the validation of the research instrument obtained a score of 94% (very feasible), language validation of 93% (very feasible), media validation of 95% (very feasible), and material validation of 88% (very feasible). Second The results of the questionnaire showed a practicality score by educators of 93% (very practical), educator responses of 88% (very practical), and student responses of 91% (very practical). Based on the results of the study, Indonesian language teaching materials based on the ICARE model were declared very valid and very practical. This product can be used to overcome the lack of creative thinking skills of students in learning Indonesian in class IV SDN 05 Mungo, Lima Puluh Kota Regency.
