Peningkatan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Melalui Modul Ajar Berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka

Abstract


This research aims to identify teachers' problems implementing the independent curriculum and teachers' efforts to improve students' critical thinking skills at Madrasah Aliyah. This research used a mix method design through a quantitative survey method and a case study using a qualitative approach on 24 Arabic language teachers in Limapuluh Kota Regency and Payakumbuh City with the distribution of questionnaires related to the implementation of the independent curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah. The research results revealed that; 1) As many as 45% of Arabic language teachers in Limapuluh Kota Regency and Payakumbuh City are still not optimal in implementing the independent curriculum with obstacles in the form of a lack of learning media, the use of appropriate methods, a lack of facilities and infrastructure and a lack of teaching materials in implementing the independent curriculum; 2) One of the efforts of Arabic language teachers is to develop Arabic language teaching modules in the independent curriculum to improve students' higher order thinking skills (HOTS). This study is limited to the research sample and research methods applied. So the researcher recommends further research to test the effectiveness of the module.
