Analisis Materi Qiro’ah Dalam Buku Ajar Bahasa Arab Kelas V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

Abstract


Analysis of qira’ah materials in the fifth-grade Arabic textbook of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is crucial to ensure material alignment with students' cognitive development and 21st-century skill demands. This study aims to describe the development of qira’ah materials, evaluate their composition, and analyze the implications for students' language proficiency success. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with content analysis techniques. The evaluation standards are based on Abdurrahman Ibrahim Al-Fauzan's theory, covering the philosophical and technical criteria of ideal teaching materials. The results indicate that the qira’ah materials in the textbook substantially meet Al-Fauzan’s standardization. The book prioritizes maharah qira’ah in every chapter, supported by relevant visual illustrations. A key finding shows that the provided exercises do not introduce new vocabulary (mufradat) or sentence structures (tarakib) outside the reading text, maintaining consistency with pedagogical principles to avoid cognitive overload. Despite variations in the number of paragraphs and exercises across chapters, the nature of the texts remains consistent in descriptively explaining the themes. Consequently, this textbook serves as an effective instrument in bridging the students' transition from mechanical to cognitive levels. This study recommends enhancing text variation to be more adaptive to 4C skills.
