IMPLEMENTASI BUDAYA ORGANISASI DI PONDOK PESANTREN SALAFIYAH WUSTHA PERKAMPUNGAN MINANGKABAU PADANG

Abstract


As an organization, a school certainly has an organizational culture which plays an important role in realizing the school's vision and mission. This research is motivated by the fact that there is still no exploration and minimal in-depth understanding of organizational culture in the Salafiyah Wustha Islamic Boarding School, Minangkabau Village, Padang. The purpose of the study is to determine the Implementation of
Organizational Culture in the Salafiyah Wustha Islamic Boarding School, Minangkabau Village. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, and the type of research used in this study is ethnography. Data collection in this study uses interview, observation, and documentation methods. The informants in this study were the Head of the Islamic Boarding School, Principal, Administration, Student Affairs Representative, Head of the Male Dormitory Supervisor, Head of the Female Dormitory Supervisor, Teachers, and Students. The results of the study indicate that the Implementation of Organizational Culture at the Salafiyah Wustha Islamic Boarding School in Minangkabau Village, Padang, the Islamic Boarding School applies three main pillars: (1) adab, emphasizing faith, worship, and morals in every activity; (2)
tahfiz, starting all activities by reading the Qur'an; (3) life skills, developing students' cognitive, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual abilities. The main language used is Indonesian as well as regional languages and Arabic in certain contexts. The 5S concept is applied in student interactions, while discipline, ethics, and dress standards are taught through socialization and evaluation. The values of integrity, respect, and responsibility are formed through discussions and character guidebooks. Internal communication is carried out via WhatsApp, and disciplinary decisions are taken through deliberation. The activities of male and female students are separated, extracurricular activities are scheduled, and security is maintained with 24-hour supervision and a digital attendance system. The values instilled are brotherhood, empathy, and mutual cooperation, in resolving conflicts through fair deliberation.
