Cooperative Learning Strategy and Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) in Arabic Learning in MI Pembangunan Jakarta

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the Cooperative Learning and Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) strategies in Arabic language instruction at MI Pembangunan UIN Jakarta. As Arabic plays a vital role not only as a communication tool but also as a medium to understand religious and cultural values, employing engaging teaching strategies is essential to boost students' motivation and learning outcomes. The research uses a qualitative approach involving observation, interviews, and documentation. Findings reveal that the application of these strategies enhances student collaboration, problem-solving, and language acquisition by integrating real-world contexts with cooperative group work. This approach helps students connect classroom material with their daily experiences, fostering a more meaningful and enjoyable learning process. Ultimately, the study concludes that the combined use of Cooperative Learning and CTL significantly improves the quality of Arabic language education at the elementary school level.
