Abstract

Mathematics learning that enjoy for learners is the hope of mathematics learning, so that the optimal achievement of learning objectives of mathematics. However, the concept and reasoning skills are not fully understood. One of the causes, not yet optimal learning sets on equation and linear inequality. The purpose of this research is to produce a learning device based on discovery learning mathematics on equation material and linear inequality that is valid, practical, and effective. This research is a development research using Plomp development model. That is consisting of initial investigation phase, prototype development phase, and assessment phase. Practicality data is obtained from the lesson plan’s implementation sheet, appraisal performance sheet, teacher practice questionnaire, and student practice questionnaire. The results showed that the learning sets of mathematics were valid and practical. Learning outcomes of learners on cognitive, affective, and psychomotor competencies are effective. In this journal only discussed the practicality of mathematics learning sets
