The Use of AI-Based Video Media Within a Communicative Approach in Teaching Speaking Skills

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has opened new possibilities for enhancing Arabic language learning, particularly in improving students’ speaking skills through interactive and adaptive media.This study aims the use of video media with a communicative approach using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Arabic speaking skills. The purpose of this study is to determine how the use of this media in Arabic language learning is carried out in class XI State Islamic High School 2 in Padang. The research method used in this study is the experimental research method based on field research. The approach in this research is quantitative approach. The study collected quantitative data from students through experimental procedures using tests or questionnaires, and analyzed the results using statistical techniques to determine the causal effects of the treatment. The results of this study show that the teaching and learning process using video based on a communicative approach using artificial intelligence, the average score was 3.74, which is very good. The use of video in speech skills was positively received by students in the experimental class. Students were active and enthusiastic in their speech skills and found it easy to understand the lesson. Therefore, teaching was enjoyable.
