Math Educa Journal has been published by the Mathematics Education Department of the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang since 2017. It is issued twice a year, in April and October. The online version of the journal began with Volume 1 Number 2 in 2017. Math Educa Journal features articles derived from research in mathematics and mathematics education. It has been accredited by Sinta 5 starting from Volume 2 Number 1 in 2018, in accordance with the Minister of Research and Technology Decree No.B/3351/E5/E5.2.1/2019 dated October 11, 2019, regarding Notification of the Results of Scientific Journal Accreditation Period V 2019.

The journal's accreditation is valid for 5 years until Volume 6 Number 1 in 2022. Math Educa Journal underwent reaccreditation on August 30, 2021. Based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology Number 204/E/KPT/2022, dated October 3, 2022, regarding the Ranking of Scientific Journal Accreditation for the second period of 2022, Math Educa Journal remains accredited by Sinta 5 until Volume 9 Number 2 in 2025.

On April 27, 2025, Math Educa Journal applied for reaccreditation. Based on the Decree of the Director General of Research and Development Number 295/C/C3/KPT/2026, dated January 2, 2026, regarding the Ranking of Scientific Journal Accreditation for the second period of 2025, the journal’s status was officially announced on February 3, 2026, as having successfully achieved a Sinta 2 accreditation.

We are beyond excited to announce this major upgrade! The Sinta 2 status is officially effective starting from Volume 8 Number 2 (2024) through Volume 13 Number 1 (2029). This achievement is a testament to our continuous hard work and our dedication to sharing high-quality research in mathematics education with all of you.
